When to order Alstroemeria and other tender bulbs?

Southern Californians, Texans, Floridians and gardeners in some coastal regions of South Carolina and Georgia, can plant this time of year. In most of the U.S. the best time to plant Alstroemeria is after the last spring frost or whenever soil tremperatures rise to 50 F.

A. Magenta

Acidanthera adds a lovely note to any garden.
Its fragrant blooms are present from late
summer through fall.
